Matt Hogan has made an interesting article on WordArc about members who stay anonymous. In this article, he writes why he believes that members should be more open about who they are.

WordArc encourages members to be open about who they are as we only ask for very basic information that could aid readers in understanding a writer's position. As for any security issues on data collection: In WordArc's Terms of Agreement, we do not collect any data on people nor sell it to third parties. We think this alone makes WordArc more secure than a lot of other websites that people willingly give information to. Because many of those websites do collect data and/or sell the information. Only the basic data provided to WordArc to be displayed in member profiles is viewable by the public.
